The chart shows 40+TB HDDs by 2026 and 50+TB drives by 2028 with 100TB HDDs possible by the early 2030’s. Note that this kind of correction would be more in line with the longer industry revenue trends. Results for the final quarter of 2024 have not been announced, but my estimates project that overall HDD unit shipments in 2025 will be about the same as in 2024, at about 124M units, perhaps ending the long term reduced HDD shipment trends since the peak shipments in 2010.
