* Pricing Trends: In the current B2B market, the 201E is priced between $1,000 and $3,300 depending on the supplier and warranty status. The newer 201F generally sits in a similar or slightly higher bracket ($1,100–$4,500) but includes modern AI-powered security features and hardware acceleration.

* Performance Gap: The 201F provides a substantial upgrade in encrypted traffic handling, supporting 4 Gbps of SSL inspection compared to the 201E's 1.35 Gbps. This makes the 201E less suitable for modern, high-encryption network environments. Fortinet

Strategic Sourcing Recommendation

Enterprise demand is currently focused on Unified SASE and AI-driven governance, areas where the 201E lacks specialized hardware acceleration. Beyondspx Alibaba Buyers are advised to leverage the Fortinet Trade-Up program, which lists the 201E as a primary candidate for replacement with the 200F series to maintain security compliance.
