Panasonic, the former plasma king, will no longer make its own TVs | Panasonic was one of the last Japanese companies still manufacturing TVs. Refresh rate still makes even 120Hz TVs look basic. Its a spare TV now since I got a projector for my man cave... I'll tell you what, I used to be a lot better gamer when I used that TV then what I am today... but can't beat playing CoD on a 120 inch screen! ... Yep my 60" Samsung is still kicking. I've replaced with a 4k Sony but it still has a fantastic 1080p picture. Great for PS4 games and such. ... In 2007, I bought the Pioneer PRO-141FD plasma -- probably the best consumer TV ever made at the time I bought it. You can easily get high end late model Kuros and Panasonics (who bought Kuro patents) after Pioneer quit manufacture for only a few hundred dollars. ... Yep!
