I first thought of a laptop with detachable water cooling plugs that you had a station for at home and then realized LTT did a video on it (I didn't watch it but remember the thumbnail its here) but all the solutions you proposed all sound like solid solutions, but your entering the 3 grand plus range I bet, that thats real solid desktop and cheap business class laptop. In the end though heat and fan noise are something you'll have to accept on a gaming laptop. ... It's called the "Cover" or "Bottom Cover". For the idea to be feasible and it will have to be able to quickly and easily disconnect and cost less the it would to just buy a better laptop. The only think that I can think of to fit that is custom fitting cooling pads. Maybe custom fitting cooling pad that also has vacuums. Extra in and out pads.. I'm surprised they don't exist already! They could be made cheaply with only slight modifications to existing cooling pads. ... I am still iffy on the benefits, but a trial wouldn't be too hard. Buy a replacement bottom and cut in some new fans on the bottom and stand it off of both the bottom of the laptop and the desk it uses (this would be a good time to make it angled for viewing assuming you are using an external keyboard, and mouse.) and see if just some extra bad ass fans are enough.
