The Cheerson CX-35 Phantom (also known as the Leopard) was once a leading budget FPV (First Person View) quadcopter, praised for its DJI Phantom-style design and integrated 5.8GHz monitor remote. However, in the 2024–2026 market, it is largely considered a legacy or discontinued product.

Product Overview & Key Features

The CX-35 was designed as a mid-range entry-level drone for pilots wanting professional-looking hardware at a fraction of the price. Firstquadcopter Uavadviser

Camera System: 720p HD camera with a 1-axis servo gimbal, allowing pilots to remotely adjust the tilt angle (+/- 45°) during flight—a rare feature for brushed motor drones. Firstquadcopter Geekbuying
Integrated FPV: Unlike modern drones that rely on Wi-Fi and smartphones, the CX-35 includes a dedicated 5.8GHz receiver and 4.3-inch LCD screen built directly into the remote controller for zero-latency video. Firstquadcopter Youtube
Flight Controls: Features include Barometric Altitude Hold, One-Key Take-off/Landing, and Headless Mode, making it exceptionally beginner-friendly. Youtube Rcgroups

Market Trends & Insights (2024–2026)

Discontinuation Status: As of 2026, the CX-35 has been widely replaced by brushless motor models and sub-250g GPS drones. It is no longer in mass production and is listed as "Out of Stock" at major global retailers like Amazon and Banggood. Telewander
Sourcing Challenges: Direct B2B searches for the CX-35 now yield primarily spare parts or modern alternatives from different manufacturers. For example, the V198 MAX has emerged as a current equivalent, offering a similar integrated screen remote but with upgraded brushless motors and 4K cameras. Alibaba
Secondary Market Value: The drone is now a niche item for hobbyists, with used or "new old stock" units typically selling for $30–$60. Telewander

Consumer Sentiment

Pros: Users consistently highlight its durability and the convenience of the all-in-one FPV controller. Youtube Uavadviser
Cons: The most significant pain point is the flight-to-charge ratio—a 3-hour charge provides only 6–7 minutes of flight. Telewander Best-Quadcopter Additionally, the geared brushed motors are prone to wear and lack the wind resistance of modern brushless systems. Firstquadcopter Uavadviser
