A new schedule coincided with the launch on UPC. In November 2021, TG4 announced that it was planning to launch Cúla4 as a channel available for all Irish TV providers. An advertising campaign for the channel was launched in early September 2023 and advertisements were played on TV and in cinemas. The channel launched on 8 September at 4pm, replacing the simulcast on Virgin Media and also being added to Sky in Ireland. Cúla4 (Irish: Cúla Ceathair) is an Irish-language programming block and standalone television channel operated by TG4 for Irish-speaking children in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The channel broadcasts free-to-air from 6am to 7:54pm, timesharing with TG4 +1, which starts at 8pm. The majority of Cúla4's programming is a mixture of national and international programmes which are either dubbed or subtitled in Irish. Cúla4 works with international broadcasters to produce Irish dubs of TV series which are seen on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, PBS and Discovery Family. It also works with homegrown animation companies to produce localised series. Cúla4's programming is either in Irish or in Irish and English, unlike its competition where the majority of their programmes are entirely in English.

What Tg indicates to FR-4 board?

We see that FR-4 makes use of epoxy material as a binder. The resin product has a crucial particular criterion: the glass change temperature level Tg, which describes the temperature level shift factor at which a product modifications from a reasonably stiff or "glass" state to a versatile or soft state. The temperature level at which a glazed compound reversibly changes in between the glazed state as well as the high flexible state. That is to claim if the temperature level of the glue epoxy material of the FR-4 substratum is less than Tg, the product remains in a stiff "glass state" currently. The 5% material mass volatilization price is as well huge for multi-layer PCBs that call for insusceptibility control. For tin-lead soldering procedures, products at a temperature level of 210 to 245 ° C will generally not undertake substantial thermal disintegration. Yet normal Tg FR-4 substratum has actually started to shed 1.5 ~ 3% of the material top quality if the temperature level got to the variety of 240 ~ 270 ℃ for lead-free soldering. A substratum with a reduced Tg worth might reveal a smaller sized total development than a substratum with a high Tg worth, which is mostly pertaining to the CTE worth of the material itself, or the enhancement of not natural fillers in the material formula to lower the CTE of the substratum. It must likewise be kept in mind that for some low-end FR-4 products, the substratum with a typical Tg worth of 140 ° C has a greater thermal decay temperature level Td worth than the substratum with a conventional Tg worth of 170 ° C. The state of the resin product at a temperature level listed below Tg is a tough strong, that is, a glass state. Under the activity of exterior pressure, there is a specific contortion yet the contortion is relatively easy to fix, that is, after the outside pressure goes away, the contortion likewise vanishes, which is the state of a lot of materials.

This new scheduling provided TG4 with a strong increase in audience share during the first six months of the newly re-branded channel, rising from 1% to 2% and, by 2005, TG4 had become the eighth most watched television channel with 2.4% audience share, just below BBC Two and Channel 4, and well ahead of Sky One. The Government reduced TG4's grant-in-aid from the exchequer to €32.25m for 2010. From 2012 to 2018 TG4 received a portion of the licence fee, full exchequer funding returned in 2019. In 2024 TG4 received €53.53m from the exchequer · In 2008, the Teilifís na Gaeilge authority received a budget of €38m for and co-funded productions with the BAI's sound and vision fund received €4.6m. Since the mid-2000s TG4 have provided coverage of Country and Western music. Popular music on the channel started out with Ó Bun Go Barr ("From Top to Bottom"), which is now known as POP 4 and is presented by Eoghan Mac Diarmada, is Ireland's only Top 40 countdown chart show. Corp & Anam is a four-part series from TG4 starring Diarmuid de Faoite and Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Tudors). It was originally broadcast in early 2011. A second series aired on the channel in 2014. "The reality is that Irish-language television dramas, no matter how acclaimed or however many awards they might win, are unlikely to show up in box set form in any DVD mega-store. TG4's viewership ranges from between 2 and 4 per cent of the population, enough to cost a politician an election but far too few viewers to send a show into the top 10 in the television ratings. The generic ident is also used after weather updates when a long ident is not required as the weather presenter acts as a continuity announcer at the end of the forecast announcing the next show. In February 2021, TG4 launched a set of six new idents with a strong focus on Irish folklore with CGI and 4D elements to the designs, these were produced between TG4 and Red Bee Creative. Operating as a publisher and broadcaster, TG4 invests up to €20m annually in original indigenous programming from the independent production sector in Ireland. The Irish-language soap opera Ros na Rún is one of its most popular programmes, and it also commissions a relatively large number of documentaries.
