* Consumer Demand: Google Trends shows a sharp decline in DIY interest, but a stable baseline remains for enterprise legacy devices (POS kiosks) and eco-conscious "right to repair" users.

TV Market: LG OLED G2 Backlight Trends

* Emerging Technology: For 2026, LG is transitioning toward RGB Mini LED and Micro-RGB technology, moving away from traditional blue-diode backlights to improve peak brightness and local dimming. Rtings Galaxus

* Common Faults: The most reported issue for the G2 OLED series is the "vertical line" panel fault, often related to failing solder joints in the ribbon cables rather than the light source itself. Reddit

* Repair Ecosystem: LG’s flat-rate repair program (starting at $369) and 5-year panel warranty are key market drivers, though labor costs often exceed the value of DIY strip replacement for older units. Lg Tvpartstoday
