I recently ordered a 154 City Bag from Grams28 after hours of browsing social media and reading several reviews. Despite the aggressive marketing, which is a strategy used by mediocre brands, I tried to believe that their promise of real italian leather with quality craftsmanship was through. However I was very disappointed and I really regretted that I ordered. First 3 photos: The first product that arrived was very hot and there was slight morphing (possibly melting) of the leather. Coach are pretty good quality for the price, there’s a leather craftsman on YouTube who cuts open designer bags regularly for on his channel and Coach is now essentially the benchmark he pits all other designer brands against, not because they’re are the best but he believes they are the standard all other brands need to either be at or above if it they are asking for more money than coach, many times he has found way cheaper coach bags that end up being way better than some of the most expensive from other brands ... Same guy cut open the Grams28 154 (basically at the end he had ripped it to shreds) and he thought that the construction and craftmanship was amazing, but did mention Grams28's talian pebbled leather was of "medium quality". In general, you get what you pay for; a lot of leather is top grain, split grain or bonded. These are generally lower quality and more "plasticy" to the touch. What you need to look for is full-grain leather, which is much more durable, smells nicer and generally the standard for higher quality leather products. But full-grain leather ends up being a lot more expensive. What Grams28 is probably banking on is being able to market their bags as "genuine leather" but using the lowest possible grade they can get away with and hoping people don't care or know the difference. Only thing is I don't like bags that force a shoulder or side to be worn. ... I own the 132 Essential Case Pro, and I’ll say it again: grams(28) products are not worth the price unless they meet ALL your requirements/needs/wants EXACTLY and you get them on massive sale(and you have disposable income…)
