It’s based off of an original Dumble Ultraphonix that we had in the shop for about a year. I'm curious where you came up with the 45 dB number for the Mackie Onyx Producer. I have one, and while the manual and spec sheet doesn't list it like their products usually do, I asked Mackie support and they told me it was the same as the Onyx preamps in their other products, with 60 dB of available gain. $299 of a 16X8 Tascam US 2x2 and 4x4 have up to 57 db gain in the preamps, and I don't think they have Burr Brown preamps- Tascam's UH-7000 does have Burr Brown converters. ...
