• Event-Driven Scarcity: Limited re-releases or themed versions (such as the Blue Diamond Hori VLX) often sell out within an hour at major events like EVO InstagramFacebook.
• Shift to Leverless & New Entrants: While the VLX remains a "gold standard" for traditional sticks, the 2026 market is seeing a massive surge in leverless controllers (e.g., custom RAP.N leverless builds) and new limited-edition entries like the 8BitDo EVO 2026 series, which produced only 100 units per model DresvoraFacebook.
• B2B Landscape: Genuine Hori VLX units are rare in wholesale channels. Sourcing now typically involves secondary collectors or manufacturers offering "arcade-style" alternatives with similar dimensions but different internal components .
