The HP Color LaserJet CM2320fxi MFP is a legacy multifunction printer that has transitioned from a flagship small-business workhorse to a niche product primarily supported by the secondary and aftermarket supplies markets.

Product Overview & Key Features

The "fxi" variant was the premium model in the CM2320 series, offering advanced features that distinguished it from its "n" (network) and "nf" (network/fax) counterparts Theprinterdepo Hp:

* Printing Performance: 21 ppm print speed for both color and monochrome Pcmag Partshere.

* Advanced Duplexing: Built-in automatic print duplexer and a duplexing Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for two-sided scanning and copying Theprinterdepo Partshere.

* Paper Capacity: High-volume capacity with 550 sheets total (two 250-sheet trays + 50-sheet multipurpose tray) Theprinterdepo.

* Connectivity: Features memory card slots for direct photo printing and Ethernet for office networking Pcmag Hp.

Market Trends & Insights

* Discontinued Status: The model is officially discontinued by HP Hp. It is no longer sold new, but remanufactured units are available in the $450–$550 range Theprinterdepo.

* Secondary Market Resilience: Due to its robust build, it remains in use in environments that prioritize low upfront hardware costs over modern speed and security features.

* Supply Chain Shift: While original HP 304A toners are becoming more expensive relative to the hardware value, a mature market for compatible cartridges exists. Bulk wholesale prices for compatible CC530A–CC533A (304A) toners range from $4.00 to $9.00 per unit, significantly reducing operating costs for existing owners 123Inkjets.

Recommended Replacement Path

For users seeking a modern equivalent, current industry recommendations point to:

* HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw: A modern wireless alternative for small office settings.
