The e-ink smart watch concept from Plastic Logic offers a glimpse into the future of wrist-worn technology. As YankoDesign reported, the inner e-paper display of Ksana, as the hybrid smartwatch is named, is also where the digital stuff gets reflected. That includes information such as heart rate monitoring data, notifications, GPS trail mapping, and so on. As is already known, E Ink displays draw power only when the display changes and can hold on to a display with zero drain of battery power. Besides, e-paper display is known to be a lot more carbon efficient compared to traditional LCD or LED displays. In any case, Ksana also boasts an environment-friendly build, what with the strap being made from recycled material. Beneath the E Ink inner circle, the Ksana is much like any other conventional watch, complete with the hour, minute, and second arm. The IP64 rating ensures protection against water and dust ingress.
