The phrase "iPhone surround" primarily refers to two distinct areas: future wrap-around display technology and current protective/functional accessories.

1. Product Trends: The "Wrap-Around" iPhone

Market rumors for the 20th-anniversary iPhone (expected 2027) point toward a radical redesign centered on a "surround" aesthetic Macrumors.

* Quad-Curved Display: Apple is reportedly testing a "mostly glass" device where the display curves around all four edges, eliminating visible bezels Mashable.

* Visual Illusion vs. Physical Curve: To avoid content distortion common in "waterfall" displays, Apple may use micro-curves and optical refraction to create a visual wrap-around effect rather than a deep physical curve Macrumors.

* Solid-State Integration: This design likely replaces physical buttons with haptic "surround" sensors integrated into the glass frame, using ultra-low energy microprocessors to maintain functionality even when the phone is off Macrumors.

2. Market Insights: Accessories & Audio

In the current market, "surround" focuses on enhancing the phone's physical boundaries for content creation and audio:

* Camera Surrounds: A surge in demand for modular camera rings and video rig cages that act as a protective "surround" for high-end lenses. These often feature cold-shoe mounts for microphones and lights to create an immersive production setup Yahoo Technavio.

* Immersive Audio: Accessories are shifting from passive protection to active enhancement, such as cases with built-in acoustic channels to amplify Spatial Audio or "surround sound" effects Solrezza.

* Thermal Protection: New "surround" bumpers are incorporating active cooling or specialized materials to manage heat generated by on-device AI and high-res video recording Technavio.

The provided files include a selection of current video rig cages and camera surround rings matching these production and protection trends.
