Market Trends & Insights

* Historical Impact: In 2013, the S720 was a trend-setter for bringing IPS display technology—which offered superior viewing angles—to the budget-friendly segment Ubergizmo. It also capitalized on the early "selfie" trend by providing a dedicated front camera Ubergizmo.

* Current Market Status: As of 2026, the device is considered an obsolete "vintage" item. It lacks 4G/LTE connectivity, and its 512MB RAM is insufficient for modern apps Ubergizmo.

* Aftermarket Activity: While the phone itself is no longer in mass production or circulation, a niche aftermarket exists for repair components. Charging ports, generic replacement batteries, and flex cables remain available through wholesale suppliers for legacy device maintenance Amazon.

* Resale & Collectibility: The S720 holds minimal monetary value in the general resale market. However, it exists within the broader nostalgia for early 2010s "retro tech," where collectors occasionally seek out unique, color-variant devices from that period TiktokReddit.
