The Letv X900 (also known as the Le Max) was a high-profile flagship "superphone" released by the Chinese tech giant Letv (later LeEco) in 2015. While it was a market disruptor during its time, its current status in 2026 is that of a legacy, largely obsolete device.

Product Insights

* Flagship Specs: At its launch, it was one of the most powerful phones globally, featuring a massive 6.33-inch 2K display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, and 4GB of RAM. It was also a pioneer in adopting the USB Type-C port Gsmarena.

* Premium Build: The device was noted for its all-metal unibody and exceptionally thin bezels, intended to compete directly with the iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Note series at a more aggressive price point.

* Software Ecosystem: It ran on EUI (Eco User Interface), which integrated Letv's vast streaming video content directly into the OS. This was a core part of their "ecosystem" strategy, though it was often criticized as "bloatware" by international users Gsmarena Alibaba.

Market Trends & Current Status (2026)

* Financial Collapse: The brand's trajectory was halted by the parent company LeEco's severe financial crisis in late 2016, which led to the suspension of its high-end smartphone lines.

* Brand "Return": In recent years (2021–2026), Letv has attempted a comeback, but its focus has shifted entirely. Instead of flagship superphones like the X900, the brand now targets the entry-level budget market in China with models like the Letv S1 Pro (a clone of premium flagship designs) priced under $150 Gadgets360 Alibaba.

* Availability: The X900 is no longer in production. While some B2B suppliers still offer general smartphone repair parts (LCDs, flex cables) for popular brands, specific inventory for the X900 is nearly non-existent in the primary wholesale market as of September 2026 .

* Consumer Sentiment: Today, the X900 is remembered as a bold but failed attempt to bridge the gap between content and hardware. For modern use, it is impractical due to outdated Android support and battery degradation.
