In a technical context if you were sending your phone in to be fixed, the staff is more likely to ask “what make is your phone”, or the intake form would call that a “Make”, as this is the standard term for the manufacturer of a device. (“Brand” in that context is ambiguous because some people might put “iPhone” as the brand which is technically correct but not what they want.) ... You'd want an article there, an Apple, A Samsung, etc., though you'd often include the model or just say an iPhone rather than an Apple. ... Yes the phrase is correct a native speaker would probably contract brand and is to “What brand’s your phone?” Though it would often (or usually) still get you the same answer, this phrasing could be legitimately answered with "a smartphone" or "a flip phone", or as you say in your example "an Android" which isn't an answer to OPs question really since there are lots of brands of Android phones. I think OP's question sounds totally fine/natural as-is.

I think this is one of the most forgotten "tech" products, but when the Nothing Phone 1 and the Nothing brand was released i knew that something with a very similar name already existed. The Nothing Phone (1), stylized as Phone (1) is an Android smartphone by Nothing. The phone was announced on 23 March 2022 and went on sale on 21 July 2022. Nothing was founded in October 2020.
