Rtx 1060
Overview
Product sourcing insights & recommendations
The phrase 'RTX 1060' refers to a product that does not officially exist in NVIDIA's catalog. The official product is the GeForce GTX 1060, part of the Pascal (10-series) architecture, which lacked the "RTX" designation for ray tracing. The RTX branding was first introduced with the subsequent 20-series (e.g., RTX 2060) RockpapershotgunAlibaba.
Market Reality & Technical Insights
* Misleading Terminology: On B2B platforms like Alibaba, the term "RTX 1060" is frequently used by suppliers to capture search traffic for both the legacy GTX 1060 and newer RTX cards . Some listings explicitly label products as "RTX 1060" despite the hardware being a GTX 1060 or even an older card like the GT 740 AlibabaAlibaba.
* Performance Gap: The GTX 1060 is a 1080p mainstream card with no hardware support for Ray Tracing or DLSS. In contrast, the true entry-level RTX successor (RTX 2060) is approximately 50-60% faster and introduces AI-driven features Rockpapershotgun.
* Consumer Risks: Beware of "fake" cards. Listings for "RTX 1060" often represent unbranded OEM cards or refurbished mining cards (P106) that may lack display outputs or have bios-flashed chips reporting incorrect specs Techradar.
Market Trends (2025-2026)
* Declining Popularity: Once the most popular GPU on Steam, the GTX 1060's market share has dropped to approximately 1.5% as of late 2026 as users migrate to the RTX 3060 and 4060 series Alibaba.
* Secondary Market Stability: Despite its age, the GTX 1060 remains a "zombie" product in the budget sector, with high demand for used or refurbished units for budget gaming PCs and low-end workstations Techradar.
* B2B Pricing: Authentic used GTX 1060 6GB cards are currently trading between $90 and $120 in bulk, while generic gaming laptops using this GPU are priced around $280–$500 .
