Got the Nikon one that matches the fn and lens release buttons I suppose if I had to use my zf for a real fast paced event job where I got no time to fuss around with extra stuff, I would probably remove it or put a cheaper one on. The Nikon is overpriced

The "edge" allows me to quickly seat my finger faster than the rounded button on my Nikon Zf. This is important when I'm back button focusing. The soft rounded ones don't add much value IMO. I have realised that newer cameras which have the shutter button on “an angled plane” like the Sonys and Nikon Z8(to quote a specific example) it is more natural to press the shutter easily - and most of these cameras have stabilisation built in anyway.
