T1 = Tier 1. T2 = Tier 2. They describe the two different sets of epic (purple) gear you can get and the dungeons that drop them. There is a minimum gear score for each tier of dungeon with T2 minimum higher than the T1 minimum. There is also the Castle Never dungeon which is considered T2.5. Generic words for goods and services can never gain trademark protection. Think THE BANK for a bank, FARMER’S MARKET for, say, a farmer’s market, or PC LAPTOPS for computers. The TTAB’s affirmed an examiner’s refusal, holding that the phrase PC LAPTOPS is generic for computer products and services. For the third factor, the Court looked at dictionary definitions, articles, blog posts, and other relevant evidence showing PC LAPTOPS being used as a generic phrase. It also looked for any evidence that the phrase PC LAPTOPS had any other meaning unrelated to computer goods and services. Applicant argued that the phrase PC LAPTOPS did not have a dictionary definition as a composite term and that the dictionary terms it found for PC were “peace corp” and “politically correct.” This seems like an entirely disingenuous argument for a computer manufacturer and seller to argue that PC does not mean “personal computer” in the context of computers and the Board dismissed this argument quickly. In response, Applicant argued that it had actively policed the PC LAPTOP mark and presented a letter it sent to online magazine TechCrunch over its supposed “misuse” of the PC LAPTOP trademark. This letter ended up providing evidence against the Applicant’s argument, as TechCrunch’s response was that “the term ‘PC laptop’ is used in this context to identify a common type of product.”

PC² is the Programming Contest Control System developed at California State University, Sacramento in support of Computer Programming Contest activities of the ACM, and in particular the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. It was used to conduct the ACM ICPC World Finals in 1990 and from 1994 through 2009. PC2 manages single or multi-site programming contests. The only explanation I can think of is people making a joke about the new consoles coming out. meanwhile PC has no such "new box" concept but recently also unleased a massive increase to GPU power (and $). It’s a meme that has spawned from other memes making fun of how console need new ones every couple years when a pc is just upgraded one part to make it stay in-line ... Not really, no. Consoles upgrade roughly every 4 years for $500. A GPU of matching performance would cost around $200 new and last roughly the same time. CPUs last a long time and only need replacing like once a decade, presumably with new MOBO and RAM as well, so you're looking at a ~$400 drop. That means, over a single decade, consoles will cost you $1000 dollars, whereas a PC will only cost you about $800, just for the hardware alone. Every piece of software is designed with the same specific configuration and specs in mind, so they're able to squeeze relatively more performance out of the components than devs can do with games intended for the entire spectrum of home PCs of varying composition.
