The Lenovo ThinkPad L480 occupies a unique "value champion" position in the used market for 2025/2026. While it trades the premium materials of the T-series for a plastic chassis, its internal specifications—specifically the 8th Gen Intel quad-core processor—ensure official Windows 11 support, maintaining high demand among budget-conscious professionals and students. Key Insights for Buyers & Resellers

* Reliability Warning: The primary hardware vulnerability is the soldered USB-C charging port. If this fails, it often requires a full motherboard replacement, as the second USB-C port does not support power input. Reddit

* Chassis Durability: The plastic frame is prone to cracked palmrests and screw-hole fatigue. Buyers should prioritize "Grade A" units or factor in the cost of replacement plastics. Reddit Google

* Display Selection: Market demand is significantly higher for units equipped with the 1080p IPS display. Avoid the 768p TN versions, which are common in budget enterprise fleet disposals but offer a poor user experience today. Reddit Thurrott
