If you have a Trådfri and it has been a constant exercise in frustration to JUST MAKE YOUR BLINDS WORK, it's time to bite the bullet, pay the $109 for the Dirigera, and make your life easy. If you want to change which blind(s) a remote works, you go in the app and just reassign it. Easy and Peasy. It was rough at the start with unreliable installation/connection of devices and failed software upgrades but things have now settled down and, apart from button-cell powered devices dying without warning, I'm happy with the reliability of the system as it is now. I've held off moving over the the Dirigera hub as it seems to be going through the same teething problems as the old gateway did in the past and really don't want to have to re-connect all the many devices again. Yes, but Dirigera was launched well before the new line of Matter and Thread compatible devices. ... Dirigea was launched 2 years before Matter over Thread devices, but in addition of working with old IKEA zigbee hardware it has the hardware required for Matter over thread build-in. Personally I got a sonoff dongle to replace my old tradfri hub- so I can add all my ikea stuff to home assistant. Not planning on moving to matter so I don't see a need to get the new ikea hub involved. Bit sad that I can't connect the new ikea stuff but I'll try to get some zigbee stuff on sale soon. ... All of the ‘new’ products are compatible. The Dirigera does both Zigbee and Thread.
