Answer (1 of 2): It means seeing (vision) from a distance (tele). So “tele-vision” might refer to what we now call a telescope. But that word was taken, so” television” had to do. :) But it makes sense. With tele-vision, you can see a live picture of something which can be arbitrarily far away.

It might be interviews with people, footage of the aftermath in an edited news segment. Vision, or raw vision means actual footage of the event that the story is about taking place. Just because it doesn't make grammatical sense doesn't mean it still can't have the connotations that they want to convey. From a cursory search, it seems the use of vision was confined to captions ( "RAW vision: ___" ), then maybe started using vision as a substitute for video in sentences ( "we have raw/exclusive vision of ___ "), but I don't see many, if any, people saying "a vision of ___" (though the courier mail has "shocking vision of a crash ___"), since it's typically used in the context of someone having a vision in the sense of an idea (e.g., a vision for the future). I meant the website. ... RAW VISION in this context = straight from the camera as it was shot footage prior to it being edited.
