The mp73a 500 series pre sounds way more expensive than what I payed for them. I have 2 Vintech 573 and couple langevin and Trident preamps. The Alctron is no slouch compared to them. I really like it on female vocals and warming up stereo tracks sent from logic x and then back into the session. My long-term goal is to build an AML ez1073 channel, but for short-term fun and filling up the lunchbox this Alctron pair is looking pretty appealing. ... I Used the 500 series eq .
