History- The Perfect 360 started out as an aftermarket add-on kit for Wico leafswitch joysticks. Models were later added to the product line to convert Happ Super, Competition, and Ultimate sticks, and possibly others as well. Happ eventually bought the rights to the P360 technology, and discontinued the kits. The Perfect 360 joystick is an optical joystick, which means that the position of the handle is read by optical switches, instead of conventional leaf switches or microswitches. Joysticks that can be set to 4-way or 8-way operation via an actuator swap include: Happ Super, Happ Perfect 360, X-Gaming Joystick (X-Arcade). Happ began producing a complete stick instead, with the top half of a Wico joystick base (no longer sold by Wico by then) mated to a P360 bottom half. Interchangability- P360 handles and Wico handles have been found to be interchangable. There are also replacement handles available from SlikStik. Identical joysticks except for the print on the bottom, but some say they like the Wico better. Never compared them, so I'm not sure why, but I've always liked the Perfect 360 joysticks. The kit uses regular joysticks and changes the leafs or microswitches with an Perfect 360 Optical Controls kit. Just an FYI, those are not Perfect 360 joysticks. That is a Perfect 360 Controls Upgrade Kit that replaces the leafs. I'm surprised they would want the kit. Maybe they are confused because they aren't sure what a Perfect 360 joystick is? the berzerk folks go nuts over a wico style optical ring, regardless of what base it is on. the joystick base, you would have to see if it has a heavy spring or a grommet which affects how well it performs. one sold at 120 is impressive. ...
